- The Hubbell Iberville 54C6 is a 4-inch round/octagonal metallic cover designed to close a standard 4-inch octagon junction box. Its primary purpose is to seal the box for safety, providing a fire-resistant barrier while protecting the internal wiring from dust and accidental contact.
- The standout feature of the 54C6 is the central 1/2-inch knockout (KO). This allows you to pull a single cable through the center for a specialized drop, or more commonly, to attach a 1/2-inch conduit connector or a "strain relief" connector for a pendant light or power drop.
- This is a flat cover, meaning it has no "rise" or "domed" section. It sits perfectly flush against the edge of the octagon box. This is ideal for utility settings where the box is surface-mounted on a ceiling or wall and you want the lowest possible profile.
- Manufactured from pre-galvanized high-strength steel, the 54C6 is built for industrial and commercial durability. The galvanized finish protects the steel from rust and corrosion, ensuring it remains structurally sound in unheated basements, garages, or warehouse environments.
- The cover features two keyhole slots designed to align with the mounting screws of any standard 4-inch octagon box (standard 3-1/2 inch screw spacing). The keyhole design allows you to partially thread the screws into the box, slide the cover on, and then tighten the screws for a fast, secure fit.
