Features
- The Bussmann CVR-J-60100-M is a dedicated Class J Finger-Safe Fuse Cover designed to snap onto JM60100 series fuse blocks. By covering exposed live terminals, it transforms an open-style block into an IP20-rated assembly. This is a critical addition for Canadian facilities looking to comply with CSA Z462 (Workplace Electrical Safety) by significantly reducing the risk of accidental contact with 600V components.
- Specifically engineered for 60 to 100 Amp Class J applications, the CVR-J-60100-M is compatible with the JM60100-1CR, -2CR, and -3CR fuse blocks. It is designed to accommodate the larger physical footprint of 100A fuses while maintaining a slim profile that doesn't interfere with neighboring DIN-rail components.
- The cover features a tool-free, snap-on design that allows for rapid field installation. It can be added to existing JM60100 blocks without disconnecting any wiring, making it an ideal safety "retrofit" for older Canadian industrial panels that were originally built with exposed fuse terminals.
- Constructed from UL 94-V0 flame-retardant thermoplastic, this cover is built to withstand the high temperatures often found inside tightly packed control enclosures. Its robust material ensures it won't become brittle or warp over time, providing a permanent safety barrier for the life of the electrical equipment.
- While providing a secure barrier, the cover is easily removable via integrated thumb tabs for fuse replacement. It also features built-in test probe holes, allowing electricians to verify voltage and perform diagnostic checks with a multimeter without having to fully expose the live fuse clips.
