    Description

    This product is part of the Harmony XB4 and XB5 range, an offer of Ø 22mm pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It is a single contact block with silver alloy contact. It is only used in combination with an emergency stop pushbutton and is not compatible with other pushbuttons. It comes with 1 NC monitoring contact with slow break operation. The NC contact is opened when the emergency stop is activated. The monitoring feature triggers emergency stop due to improper installation. It comes with CE, CCC, UKCA, EAC, UL and CSA certification. This monitoring contact is compatible for emergency stops in both the XB4 and XB5 range. It connects to control circuits with simple screw-clamp connections. The Harmony XB4 and XB5 range offers innovative features for simple and efficient use.

    Features

    • Unlike standard auxiliary contacts, this premium Harmony component functions as a 1 NC (Normally Closed) monitoring contact block. It is specifically engineered to detect whether the contact block is correctly attached to the front actuator head assembly. If the contact block accidentally unclips or separates due to severe vibration, improper installation, or a physical hit, the internal monitoring circuit mechanically forces the safety line open, triggering an immediate emergency shutdown rather than leaving the system in a dangerously unmonitored "blind" state.
    • This highly specialized element is designed exclusively for use with Harmony XB4 and XB5 series emergency stop push-buttons. It is structurally incompatible with standard selector switches or normal momentary push-buttons, acting as a dedicated hardware-level supervisor for critical life-safety containment zones.
    • Built with a certified positive opening mechanism conforming to EN/IEC 60947-5-1 Appendix K, the Normally Closed monitoring path does not rely solely on spring tension to open. When the emergency stop actuator is struck, the internal mechanics apply a direct, continuous force that physically shears apart micro-welds or contact stickiness within 1.5 mm of operating travel, guaranteeing a reliable stop execution.
    • Optimized for control-circuit interlocking rather than switching high-power loads, this block features a conventional free-air thermal current of 6 A and a rated insulation voltage of 300V. It operates reliably under AC-15 utilization parameters up to 3 A at 120V or 1.5 A at 240V, interfacing seamlessly with safety controllers and modern dual-channel safety relays.
    • Equipped with standard finger-safe IP20 screw clamp terminals, the unit delivers a reliable connection utilizing up to 1.2 N.m of tightening torque.
    • Built using heavy-duty silver-nickel (Ag/Ni) contacts housed in a durable plastic chassis, this module delivers a mechanical and electrical durability rating of 300,000 cycles. It features specialized TH protective treatments that permit continuous operation across a wide thermal range from -40 C to 70 C, shielding internal contact elements from moisture and thermal shock.
