Description
Engineered with an advanced time-delay (slow-blow) mechanism, the Cooper Bussmann MDA-2-R is designed to tolerate temporary inrush currents and inductive spikes without opening prematurely. It safely allows motors, transformers, and high-inductance circuits to start up smoothly, while still providing reliable, long-term overcurrent protection if a sustained, dangerous overload occurs.
Features
- This ceramic cartridge fuse features the industry-standard 1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch footprint (6.35mm x 31.75mm), making it physically identical to standard 3AG/3AB "small dimension" fuses. It drops directly into standard panel-mount fuse holders, inline blocks, or heavy-duty chassis clips, eliminating the need for expensive hardware retrofits or rewiring during maintenance.
- Rated for a continuous current of 2 Amps at up to 250 VAC, this high-interrupting fuse features a robust breaking capacity of 200 Amps at 250 VAC and up to 10,000 Amps at 125 VAC. These industrial-grade thresholds ensure the fuse can safely suppress severe, high-energy fault currents without rupturing or creating arc hazards in your control panels.
- Built with a heavy-duty ceramic tube body and nickel-plated brass endcaps, the MDA-2-R provides vastly superior thermal resistance and structural integrity compared to standard glass alternatives. The opaque ceramic casing safely contains internal arcs and prevents physical shattering during high-energy short circuits, making it ideal for demanding industrial and commercial applications.
