• The Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) SPFG1 is a protective insulating cover designed for industrial control transformers. Its primary purpose is to make the transformer's fuse block "finger-safe," preventing maintenance personnel from accidentally coming into contact with live electrical terminals during routine inspections or servicing.
• his finger guard is a versatile accessory designed for several HPS series, including the Imperator and Spartan lines. It is compatible with: AR, QR, PR, KHR, and SR Series: 50 to 350 VA. KHP, SP, and NJ Series: 50 to 1500 VA. ACP and MQMJ Series: 50 to 3000 VA.
• The SPFG1 is specifically engineered for use with 1-Phase Class CC or Midget (13/32" x 1-1/2") fuse holders. It snaps directly over the fuse block on either the primary or secondary side of the transformer, providing an extra layer of insulation without interfering with the electrical performance of the fuse.
• Designed for high-speed panel assembly, the SPFG1 features a snap-on connection. It can be installed quickly on the transformer's terminal block without the need for additional screws or specialized tools. This allows for easy removal when a fuse needs to be replaced and immediate re-installation to maintain safety standards.
• Measuring approximately 1.45" wide, 1.9" deep, and 0.75" high, the SPFG1 has a low-profile design that adds minimal bulk to the transformer.
