The Bussmann GDB-32MA is a precision 5 x 20mm glass tube fuse. This is the standard "small-dimension" metric size used globally in laboratory instruments, power supplies, and control circuit protection. Its compact glass body allows for instant visual inspection of the internal fuse element to confirm if it has cleared.
This fuse is rated for 32mA (0.032 Amps) at 250V AC. This extremely low amperage rating is designed to protect highly sensitive electronic components and micro-circuitry where even a minor overcurrent could cause permanent damage. It acts as a "fast-acting" (F) fuse, meaning it will blow almost instantly upon reaching a fault condition.
The GDB series has a Low Breaking Capacity (LBC) rating, typically 35 Amps at 250V AC. Because it is a glass fuse, it is designed for use in circuits where the potential "available fault current" is relatively low. For high-energy industrial power applications, a ceramic-bodied fuse with a higher interrupting rating would usually be required.
