Description
Tri-Onic TR-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TR-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.
Features
- Engineered with an advanced dual-element design, the TR2R safely tolerates temporary inrush currents and inductive surges from downstream motors and transformers. This prevents unnecessary system downtime while providing accurate, long-lasting overcurrent protection for critical branch circuits
- This current-limiting fuse boasts an exceptional interrupting rating of 200kA at 250VAC and 20kA at 250VDC. By rapidly quenching electrical arcs and restricting peak let-thru current, it drastically minimizes destructive thermal and mechanical energy, protecting your electrical infrastructure and panelboards from catastrophic failure
- Featuring standard Class RK5 mechanical rejection dimensions (2 in L times 9/16 in dia), this ferrule-style cartridge ensures maintenance personnel can only replace it with an equally rated current-limiting fuse. When paired with a matching rejection fuse block, it prevents the hazardous installation of lower-rated or non-current-limiting alternatives.
- Constructed with a high-strength woven fiberglass body and packed with high-grade silica filler, the TR2R retains its structural integrity under extreme thermal fluctuations and severe vibrations. This rugged design eliminates the tracking and degradation issues common in standard organic paper fuses, ensuring reliable operation in harsh manufacturing plants.
