Description
Tri-Onic TR-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TR-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.
Features
- The Mersen TR30R is a 30-Amp, 250V AC Class RK5 dual-element fuse. It is a time-delay, current-limiting fuse designed to provide high-performance protection for both service entrance equipment and individual motor branch circuits.
- This fuse features a "dual-element" design that can handle the high inrush current (startup surge) of motors and transformers without blowing. It provides a minimum 10-second time-delay at 500% of the rated current, which eliminates "nuisance trips" during equipment startup while still providing fast-acting protection against short circuits.
- The TR30R has a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIC). This ensures that the fuse can safely clear extremely high-energy short circuits without exploding or failing, protecting your facility’s electrical infrastructure and ensuring personnel safety.
- As a current-limiting fuse, the TR30R reacts so quickly to a fault that it physically prevents the short-circuit current from reaching its maximum destructive peak. This reduces the thermal and magnetic stress on your cables, contactors, and breakers, significantly decreasing the risk of equipment damage.
