Features
- A a single-gang metallic box used for housing electrical devices (switches or receptacles) in "rough-in" installations. The "H" prefix signifies it belongs to the high-capacity family, offering more internal volume than standard utility boxes for easier wiring.
- This box features a 2-1/2 inch depth and a 14.5 cubic inch capacity. This is a significant upgrade over the shallower 1102 models, making it the ideal choice for housing bulky modern devices like GFCIs, dimmers, or smart switches that require extra room for wires and connectors.
- The "LU" designation identifies the Universal Cable Clamps (U-Clamps). These internal clamps are factory-installed and certified to secure both non-metallic sheathed cable (NMD90/Loomex) and armored cable (AC90/BX). This versatility allows you to use one box type across a project, regardless of the wiring method.
- The "BAR" indicates that the box comes with an integrated side-mount bracket. This bracket is designed to be nailed or screwed directly to the face or side of wood or metal studs. It ensures the box remains perfectly stable and square during the drywall installation process.
