- Also known as "F-clips," the Hubbell 820D is a specialized mounting accessory designed for "old work" or renovation projects. It allows you to securely fasten a standard steel device box (with plaster ears) directly to drywall or paneling when there is no adjacent wall stud for traditional mounting.
- These supports feature a precision-engineered "two-leg" design of equal length. By sliding the clip between the box and the wall material and folding the legs over the box edge, you create a rigid mechanical bond that pulls the box ears tight against the wall surface, preventing the receptacle from "sinking" or shifting during use
- Fabricated from 1.2 mm thick heavy-duty galvanized steel, the 820D provides high tensile strength to withstand the constant pushing and pulling associated with electrical outlets.
