Features
- The Hubbell Iberville 1102LUBAR is a single-gang metallic switch box used to house wiring devices such as switches, receptacles, or thermostats. It is designed for "rough-in" installations where a durable, fire-resistant enclosure is required within wall cavities.
- A standout feature of the 1102LUBAR is that it is gangable. By removing the side plates (held by a small screw), you can link multiple 1102 boxes together to create a custom multi-gang enclosure (2-gang, 3-gang, etc.) right on the job site, providing flexibility without needing to stock several different box sizes.
- With a 2-inch depth and a 10.0 cubic inch capacity, this box is specifically designed for shallow wall applications. It is ideal for 2x3 stud walls or areas with limited space where a standard 2-1/2" or 3" deep box would be too large. It is rated for 14/2 and 12/2 NMD90 (Loomex) or AC90 (BX) cables.
- The "LU" in the part number indicates it is equipped with universal cable clamps (U-Clamps). These integrated clamps are designed to secure both non-metallic sheathed cable (NMD90/Loomex) and armored cable (AC90/BX), making it a versatile "one-box" solution for residential or commercial projects.
- This box features flush plaster ears on the top and bottom. These ears allow the box to sit flush against the drywall or plaster surface.
