Description
Tri-Onic TRS-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TRS-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.
Features
- The Mersen TRS200R features a sophisticated dual-element design that provides a minimum 10-second time-delay at 500% of the rated current. This allows the fuse to "ride through" the massive temporary inrush currents typical of large 200A industrial motors and transformers, effectively eliminating nuisance blowing while maintaining precision protection against sustained overloads.
- As a current-limiting Class RK5 fuse, the TRS200R reacts to short circuits with lightning speed, clearing faults before the current can reach its peak destructive potential. This drastically reduces the "let-through" energy ($I^2t$), shielding your cables, bus bars, and expensive downstream contactors from the intense thermal and magnetic stresses of a fault.
- Boasting a 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIC) at 600V AC, this fuse is engineered to safely clear even the most catastrophic short-circuit events. This industry-leading capacity ensures that the fuse can manage high-energy faults without internal failure, safeguarding personnel and maintaining the integrity of your facility’s electrical infrastructure.
- The TRS200R features the mandatory Class R rejection-style grooved end-cap.
