Description
Plug this Right Angle Portable GFCI (Automatic Reset) into a standard outlet to provide GFCI protection when powering portable equipment such as drills, saws, pressure washers, power painters, etc. outdoors, on construction sites, or anywhere a GFCI-protected receptacle might not be accessible. This model includes 1-Foot Cord Set for easier connectivity.Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI) help prevent electrical shock caused by ground faults. GFCI protection is required by code in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, outdoor areas, and for any other outlets found within six feet of a sink or water source.
Features
- Protects against electrical shock caused by ground-fault occurrences.
- Conducts an industry-leading automatic self-test every 3 seconds. If the portable GFCI device ever fails, the red indicator light flashes to signal it should be replaced.
- Equipped with proven SafeLock protection feature: if critical components are damaged and protection is lost, power to the outlet is disconnected.
- Open neutral relay automatically cuts power to device line conductor if the neutral wire preceding the portable GFCI becomes damaged.
- Automatically energizes portable GFCI for use upon plug-in and after loss of primary power.
