Description
This Harmony XB4, 40mm mushroom red button head operates with a spring return / impulse mechanism. This 40mm mushroom shaped push button head is ideal for situations where quick actions are required for a process or machine to function correctly or where operator movements require maximum ergonomy. It is easily combined with Harmony range of contact blocks to perform a large variety of control functions. It is clearly distinguishable visually at a distance thanks to a prominent 40mm mushroom shape. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP66. It has a metal bezel, this makes it Ideal for applications requiring high impact and vibration resistance. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product. Its highly ergonomic mushroom push button shape makes it ideal for use in area where operator wear thick gloves or where users have impaired movements.
Features
- This Harmony XB4 operating head features a momentary, spring-return (impulse) mechanism. When an operator strikes or presses the button, it immediately shifts state, and upon release, it instantly snaps back to its original resting position, making it perfect for rapid signaling, cycle initiation, or non-latching machinery adjustments.
- Engineered with a prominent $\varnothing$ 40mm red mushroom-shaped profile, this unmarked operator provides high physical visibility and a generous target surface. The ergonomically extended cap is intentionally shaped to allow rapid, non-fumble palm strikes, making it highly effective for workers wearing thick industrial safety gloves or those with restricted hand movements.
- This product is classified strictly as a modular operator head and does not include the rear electrical contacts or mounting hardware. To construct a fully operational panel switch, it must be combined with a standard Harmony metal fixing collar (such as the ZB4BZ009) and your choice of Harmony ZB4 single or double contact blocks (NO/NC variants).
- Engineered to meet rigorous IP66, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with UL/NEMA Type 4X and 13 metrics, this oil-tight and waterproof head withstands high-pressure, high-temperature sanitizing jets. It completely bars the entry of splashing water, chemical detergents, cutting oils, and fine metallic dust, ensuring reliable field operation across harsh processing zones.
- Designed for high-frequency industrial use, this momentary mushroom head boasts an exceptional mechanical durability rating of 5,000,000 continuous operating cycles. Combined with a wide functional temperature envelope ranging from -40 C to 70 C, it ensures predictable, long-term tactile responsiveness while minimizing unexpected component replacement downtime.
