Square D Meter Centres provide a compact and versatile metering and distribution centre for today's residential, commercial, and industrial markets. This Square D Meter Centre tap box can be a 1 phase, 3 wire or a 3 phase, 4 wire 120/208VAC 1200A with a 65kA short circuit current rating. The 1200A rated vertical bus bar comes factory installed. Four lugs come factory installed and accept (8) 1/0 AWG to 750kcmil or (16) 1/0 AWG to 250kcmil conductors. It is a feed-thru tap box and is suitable for underground or overhead service and as a subfeed device or branch tap box. The box has a right hand connection to meter stack assembly. Feed-through tap boxes are required in place of main tap boxes when the main service cables must enter and branch off at the same end of the meter centre assembly. This tap box meets CSA standards and is a steel NEMA Type 1 grey baked enamel enclosure.
