Description
Tri-Onic TR-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TR-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.
Features
- Engineered with advanced dual-element time-delay technology, the TR3R safely handles harmless temporary inrush currents and transformer spikes. This prevents "nuisance tripping" during equipment startup, ensuring your critical motors and branch circuits stay online while still providing 3-amp precision protection against sustained overloads.
- As a current-limiting Class RK5 device, this fuse rapidly interrupts electrical faults before they reach their full destructive peak. By significantly lowering the "peak let-thru" current, it protects sensitive downstream components from thermal and magnetic stress, effectively hardening your industrial control panels against catastrophic failure.
- The TR3R features a specialized rejection-style ferrule design that, when used with appropriate RK5 fuse blocks, physically prevents the installation of a lower-rated or non-current-limiting fuse. This fail-safe mechanical feature eliminates human error during rapid repairs, maintaining the original safety and coordination of your electrical distribution system.
