Description
Tri-Onic TRS-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TRS-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.
Features
- This 20-Amp Class RK5 fuse operates safely at up to 600V AC or 300V DC and delivers an exceptional 200,000-Amp (200kA) AC short-circuit interrupting rating. Its current-limiting design forces low peak let-thru current values downstream during a major fault event, drastically reducing destructive thermal and magnetic energies from devastating sensitive control circuits or downstream disconnect components.
- Designed with a standard cylindrical rejection-style ferrule structure measuring 13/16 inch in diameter by 5 inches in length, this fuse is built to seat cleanly into any standard 600V Class RK5 clip or fuse block. The specialized rejection slot profile physically prevents technicians from inadvertently substituting lower-rated or non-current-limiting fuses into critical slots, ensuring your system maintains its designated level of circuit safety.
- Constructed with a heavy-duty, dimensionally stable fiberglass outer shell paired with high-purity silica filler, this fuse is engineered to withstand extreme vibrations and significant thermal shock. The rugged structure ensures the body remains rigid and will not arc-track or rupture during heavy electrical cycles, providing long-lasting, reliable branch circuit protection in unconditioned industrial environments.
