Description
This Multi9 C60SP is a low voltage miniature circuit breaker (MCB). It is a 1P circuit breaker with 1 protected pole, 5A rated current and C tripping curve. The rated short circuit breaking capacity goes up to 3kA at 415VAC conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2 standard and 3kA at 415VAC conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2 standard. This product complies with both industrial standard EN/IEC 60898-1 and residential standard EN/IEC 60947-2. It has been designed to offer enhanced protection by preventing, protecting people and equipment from electrical threats. This product protects from short circuit, earth leakage and overload. This product is dedicated for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and control panel builders. It has an electrical endurance going up to 10000 cycles and a mechanical endurance going up to 20000 cycles. The Ue operational voltage is 240VAC. The Ui rated insulation voltage is 500VAC. The Uimp rated impulse withstand voltage is 6kV. The product can be clipped on a DIN rail. Its width is 2 pitches of 9mm. Pollution degree is 3. The product colour is light grey (RAL7035). This calibrated delay profile safely accommodates the momentary startup inrush currents generated by solenoid valves, control relays, and small fractional motors without causing nuisance tripping, while still providing instantaneous open-circuit protection during an active short.
- Boasting a robust UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No 235 supplementary interrupting rating of 14 kA at 240V AC (and an industrial IEC 60947-2 Icu threshold of 10 kA), this 18mm wide module manages high-energy electrical spikes within a highly compact frame. This massive safety headroom limits downstream arc-flash damage and prevents internal contact welding, safeguarding critical automation frameworks from severe localized electrical failures.
- Equipped with heavy-duty box-tunnel type terminals, this unit accommodates a wide wire cross-section from thin 18 AWG flexible conductors up to 8 AWG rigid lines. Tightening to the factory-specified torque of 22.1 lbf-in (2.5 N-m) creates a compression lock that maintains flat contact force under localized cabinet vibrations, while the IP20 finger-safe housing prevents incidental contact with energized internal parts during field servicing.
