Description
PowerPacT J-Frame circuit breakers are designed to protect electrical systems from damage caused by overloads and short circuits. PowerPacT J-Frame circuit breakers are available with either thermal magnetic or MicroLogic electronic trip protection units. This PowerPacT J-Frame circuit breaker provides thermal magnetic circuit protection with a breaking capacity of 18kA at 600VAC. All PowerPacT J-Frame circuit breakers are equipped with dual-break rotating contacts that reduce the amount of peak current during a short circuit fault. All PowerPacT circuit breakers have an integral push-to-trip button in the cover to manually trip the circuit breaker. PowerPacT J circuit breakers are available in 2 and 3-pole unit mount and I-Line constructions. PowerPacT J I-Line circuit breakers are available in I-Line construction for easy installation and removal in I-Line applications. This breaker has lugs on both the line and load sides. This PowerPacT J, 225A, 3 pole, circuit breaker has a breaking capacity of 18kA at 600VAC. This circuit breaker has a continuous current rating of 80%. This has lugs on both ends. PowerPacT J cicuit breakers comply to UL, CSA, NOM, and IEC standards and are CE marked.

- Delivering an impressive G-rating interrupting capacity of 35kA at 480VAC and 18kA at 600VAC, this high-performance circuit breaker mitigates the risk of catastrophic arc faults and equipment damage during severe short circuits. The advanced dual-break rotating contacts quickly isolate electrical faults and damp peak let-through current, safely protecting downstream machinery and ensuring structural uptime.
- Featuring a precision-calibrated thermal-magnetic trip unit with an instantaneous magnetic hold of 1125A and a trip threshold of 2250A, this unit distinguishes perfectly between routine motor-start inrush currents and true electrical faults. This eliminates unnecessary plant downtime while providing instantaneous short-circuit response and time-delayed thermal overload protection tailored to complex industrial inductive loads.
- Designed as a versatile unit-mount layout, this breaker features factory-installed mechanical line and load lugs that accommodate a wide wiring range from 3/0 AWG up to 350 kcmil copper or aluminum conductors. The feed-thru mechanical lug terminals streamline panelboard installation and field wiring updates, significantly reducing costly labor hours for commercial electrical contractors.
