Description

This safety module is an option for variable speed drives of Altivar range. It provides a fail-safe Ethernet connection between the drive and a Safey PLC using the Safety over Ethernet/IP protocol. It is compatible with Altivar Machine ATV340 and Altivar Process ATV900 drives. It includes the Safe Torque Off (STO) function SIL3/Ple. The CIP Safety module offers one Ethernet/IP (for CIP I/O) and 2 CIP Safety (one for each Safety input and Safety Output) connections. It allows Safety Open type 2a and type 2b communication protocols. It weights 0,150kg (0,331lb) Altivar Process drives include numerous advanced functions for the more complex applications in each market segment, the STO safety function is provided to help protect people and equipment. It conforms to ODVA CT18-ES test and the STO safety function is compliant with IEC/EN 61800-5-2 standard. The Altivar ATV900 drive must be equipped with an additional module support to be able to insert the CIP Safety module. Altivar Process ATV900 Drives with embedded services, high performance motor control, safety and application functionality to meet demanding applications including conveyors, cranes, mills and more in the Process Industry. Ideal for segments such as Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage and Hoisting, from 0.75kW to 2600kW.
