Description

TeSys U standard power base, 3 poles (3NO), 32A/690V, to be completed with a control unit LUC to form a TeSys U starter controller, for 3-phase motor applications up to 15kW@400V. Base composed of power contacts, rotary handle, with a modular design for additional modules to form a "all in one" starter controller with basic or advanced protection and control functions. It is equipped with a control terminal block, and blanking shutters covering the empty cavities. It provides a high breaking capacity Icu 50kA@400V, start-stop control guaranteed for 3600 cycles/hour. Very compact (45mm width), DIN-rail mounting and screw fixing, with a padlockable rotary handle. Certified when used in conjunction with a LUC control unit (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).

Features

  • This versatile non-reversing base is rated for continuous operation up to 32 Amps and is compatible with operational voltages up to 690 V AC. It delivers an exceptionally high breaking capacity, achieving a short-circuit rating of 50 kA at 440 V conforming to IEC 60947-6-2, making it perfectly suited for driving large industrial fans, pumps, and conveyor motors.
  • The LUB32 serves as an unpopulated power foundation that must be paired with a plug-in control coil (matching your specific AC or DC control circuit voltage) and a luc control unit (which establishes the precise motor protection parameters and current range). These sub-components snap directly into the center cavity of the base without any wiring or tools, allowing for fast, on-the-fly field changes.
  • The power base comes standard with a integrated auxiliary contact arrangement consisting of 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) status contacts. These contacts mechanically mirror the state of the main power poles, allowing integration teams to directly route reliable state feedback to a central PLC or feed localized panel-mount running lamps.
  • Designed with robust screw clamp terminals for both the main power lines and control connections, this base features a compact 45mm frame width that snaps easily onto standard 35mm DIN rails. It carries an IP20 finger-safe environmental protection rating and satisfies strict international safety regulations including UL, CSA, CE, and CCC listings ensuring your modular motor control center effortlessly clears municipal code inspections.
