Description
TeSys U control and diagnostic unit to be inserted in advanced power bases LUB320, LUB380, LUB380 to form a TeSys U starter controller, for 3-phase motor applications up to 7.5kW@400V. It provides full protection to motors with a rated current Ir 4.5-18A (Ir adjustable), overload tripping class 10, short circuit at 13 x Irmax, overcurrent at 14.2 x Ir, phase loss, insulation fault (protection of equipment only). It provides a thermal overload alarm to be used locally using a LUFDA module or remotely using a LULC module, and a test push button for overload simulation. To be used with a 24V DC voltage for the control of the starter (through the control terminals A1/A2 located in the power base). Certified when used in conjunction with a LUB power base (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).
Features
- Designed specifically as a plug-and-play component, this advanced control unit inserts directly into LUB320, LUB380, and LUB3806 advanced power bases to build a complete TeSys Ultra combination motor starter. This elimination of separate component wiring dramatically reduces your panel assembly time, prevents standard integration errors, and simplifies field upgrades.
- The module features an integrated, front-accessible adjustment dial supporting a wide 4.5A to 18A full-load current (Ir) range, making it highly versatile for 3-phase motor applications up to 7.5 kW at 400V. This means you can confidently stock a single part number to cover multiple motor sizes, optimizing your spare parts inventory and simplifying field adjustments.
- Beyond standard thermal overload tripping, this control unit integrates advanced diagnostic capabilities including phase loss detection, insulation faults, and short-circuit protection set at 13 x Irmax. It allows you to address power abnormalities and critical faults before they lead to permanent winding damage, and includes a built-in test push button to simulate overloads for rapid troubleshooting without compromising live equipment.
- Engineered to Class 10 tripping standards according to IEC 60947-6-2, this solid-state module delivers predictable, highly responsive protection curve accuracy during routine motor start-ups. This ensures dependable protection against overheating without causing nuisance trips during normal heavy industrial operation.
- This advanced control unit carries comprehensive global certifications including UL 508, CSA C22.2, IEC, CCC, and marine approvals while maintaining an IP20/IP40 enclosure rating and Green Premium compliance.
