Description
TeSys U standard control unit to be inserted in power bases LUB12, LUB32, LUB38 to form a TeSys U starter controller, for 3-phase motor applications up to 1.5kW@400V. It provides full protection to motors with a rated current Ir 1.25-5A (Ir adjustable), overload tripping class 10, short circuit at 13 x Irmax, overcurrent at 14.2 x Ir, phase loss, insulation fault (protection of equipment only). To be used with a 110-240V AC / 110-220V DC voltage for the control of the starter (through the control terminals A1/A2 located in the power base). Certified when used in conjunction with a LUB power base (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).

- Featuring an adjustable dial spanning 1.25 to 5 Amps, this unit allows for precise calibration to your specific motor nameplate ratings. This flexibility makes it highly adaptable for safeguarding low-horsepower pumps, fans, and conveyor drives, preventing unnecessary nuisance tripping while ensuring robust protection against sustained overcurrent conditions.
- Designed with a 110 240V AC, 50/60 Hz control coil, this unit interfaces directly with standard industrial control transformers and machinery pilot circuits. Its optimized power consumption profile minimizes voltage drops across long control wire runs, maintaining reliable contactor coil sealing and highly predictable switching performance
- Operating on a proven Class 10 trip profile, this unit provides a dependable disconnect within 10 seconds of an overcurrent event, while integrated differential bimetallic elements offer advanced protection against phase unbalance and phase loss. This dual-layered safety mechanism acts instantly to cut the control circuit before winding temperatures spike, eliminating the risk of catastrophic motor burnout.
- Equipped with a manual reset mechanism and a distinct front-facing mechanical indicator, this control unit immediately flags whether a shutdown was caused by an overload or a short circuit. This clear visual diagnostic enables field technicians to isolate faults instantly, safely clear the issue, and reset the starter assembly without opening peripheral enclosure doors or guessing the root cause.
