Features
- This Modicon MCM expansion module features a dedicated EtherNet/IP port, allowing for seamless integration into your existing industrial network. By enabling direct communication between your safety controller and the PLC or HMI, you can perform real-time diagnostics and remote monitoring without the cost or complexity of additional protocol converters.
- While classified as a "non-safe" module, this device acts as a high-speed data bridge that transmits critical status information, including input/output diagnostics and error codes, to your fieldbus. This allows maintenance engineers to pinpoint the exact cause of a machine stoppage such as a tripped E-stop or a misaligned guard drastically reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- At only 22.5mm wide, this module snaps directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail, providing a high-density solution for space-constrained panels. The modular "backplane" expansion connector allows it to link instantly with the Preventa XPSMCM master controller, eliminating tedious point-to-point wiring and speeding up the commissioning of complex safety systems.
