Description
Glass Filled Nylon Drain, ½" NPT - Ex e Class I Div. 2 IP66/4X
Features
- Silicone O-ring supplied as standard and suitable for use in a -55°C to +80°C temperature range
- 30% glass filled nylon
- Internal 316 stainless steel locknut supplied as standard
- When tightened to the proper torque the joint makes a hose down tight seal for type 4, 4X & IP66 application
- The KDE drain and breather are installed either the bottom top of an enclosure. When installed in the bottom they act as a gravity fed drain to expel moisture from condensation that can build up in electrical enclosures. When installed in the top of an enclosure it acts as a breather allowing air to enter and prevent a vacuum which can cause the drain not to flow properly. They are cCSAus certified for Class I Div. 2 Groups ABCD, Class I Zone 1 & 2 IIC, Class II Groups EFG, Class III, Type 4 & 4X. Also, ATEX, IEC Ex & Inmetro, Ex e IIC, Ex tb IIIC IP66. The KDE are offered in aluminum, 304 series stainless steel, 30% glass filled nylon and 316 stainless steel. Supplied standard with a high temp silicone O-Ring and 316 stainless steel castellated lock nut. Thread sizes 1/2” & ¾” NPT and Metric size M20 & M25.

- When installed in the bottom of a thin wall enclosure the KDE allows water from condensation to drain continuously out of the enclosure. The drain breathers are installed through clearance holes and held secured with a internal locknut. The silicone external o ring makes a hose down tight seal.
