Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 3 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 20A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and bolt on mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The Schneider QOB320 is the bolt-on version of the industry-leading Square D QO circuit breaker. While it shares the same internal "guts" as the residential plug-on version, the QOB features a mounting screw that physically bolts the breaker to the bus bar of a Square D NQ or NQOD panelboard. This is the standard for Canadian commercial and industrial installations because it provides a vibration-proof, high-integrity connection.
- This is a 3-Pole, 20-Amp breaker designed to protect 3-phase electrical loads. In Canada, it is the go-to choice for: Small 3-Phase Motors: (e.g., pumps, fans, or small conveyors). Commercial Lighting: Handling 3-phase branch circuits in office buildings. HVAC Equipment: Small rooftop units or air handlers. Commercial Kitchen Equipment: Such as industrial dishwashers or ovens.
- The QOB320 is rated for 240V AC. In the Canadian market, this makes it ideal for 208Y/120V 3-phase systems, which are found in almost every modern retail store, school, and light industrial facility.
- Like all Square D QO breakers, it features the patented Visi-Trip™ indicator. When the breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, a highly visible red flag appears in the window on the face of the breaker. This allows maintenance staff to identify the faulted circuit at a glance, even in a dark electrical room, significantly reducing downtime.
- The breaker utilizes a "Snap-Action" mechanism that ensures the internal contacts open or close at a high, constant speed, regardless of how slowly the handle is moved. This prevents internal arcing and heat buildup, which extends the life of the breaker and ensures it can reliably interrupt faults for decades.
