Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 2 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 20A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and bolt on mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The Schneider Square D QOB220 is a 20-Amp, 2-pole, bolt-on thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. It is designed to provide overcurrent protection and switching on AC electrical systems. As a 2-pole breaker, it occupies two spaces in a panel and is used to protect 240V or 208V single-phase loads.
- The "B" in QOB stands for Bolt-on. Unlike the standard QO breakers that "plug" into a load center, the QOB220 features a physical screw-clamp terminal that bolts directly onto the bus bar of the panelboard. This provides a more secure, high-integrity mechanical connection, which is a requirement for many commercial and industrial specifications.
- Rated for 20 Amps, this breaker is the standard choice for heavy-duty branch circuits. It is commonly used to protect: HVAC equipment (small air handlers or condensers). Commercial kitchen appliances. Industrial lighting circuits. Small motors (pumps or fans).
- Like all Square D QO-family breakers, the QOB220 features the patented Visi-Trip™ red indicator. When the breaker trips due to a fault or overload, a bright red flag appears in a window on the face of the breaker. This allows maintenance staff to identify the affected circuit at a glance in a dark or crowded electrical room.
- The QOB220 has a standard interrupting rating (AIR) of 10,000 Amps (10kA) at 120/240V AC. It is also available in "high-interrupting" versions if your specific panelboard is located in a high-fault current area (such as near a large utility transformer).
