Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 1 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 20A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and bolt on mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The QOB120 is a 20-Amp, 1-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. The "B" in QOB stands for Bolt-On. Unlike the standard "Plug-On" QO breakers used in residential panels, this version is designed to be bolted directly to the interior bus bar of a Square D NQ or NQOD panelboard, ensuring a secure, vibration-proof connection in commercial and industrial settings.
- This breaker features the iconic Visi-Trip™ indicator, a highly visible red window that appears when the breaker has tripped. This allows maintenance staff to identify a faulted circuit instantly in a crowded panel without having to manually test every handle, significantly reducing troubleshooting time.
- The QOB120 is engineered with a high-speed switching mechanism that operates independently of the handle speed. This "Quick-Make, Quick-Break" design minimizes the duration of internal arcing during the switching process, which drastically extends the life of the breaker and ensures reliable performance over decades of service.
- With a standard 10,000 AIR (Amperes Interrupting Rating) at 120V, this breaker is capable of safely clearing significant fault currents. It is designed to protect branch circuits for lighting, receptacles, and small motors, providing a robust safety barrier that prevents catastrophic damage to your building's electrical infrastructure.
- SWD (Switching Duty): It is rated to be used as a primary switch for fluorescent lighting loads. HACR Rated: It is fully certified for use with Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration equipment, making it a versatile choice for mechanical room power distribution.
