Description
This Altistart 22 soft starter can feed 3-phase asynchronous motors in supply line connection. It has a rating of 88A, a rated power from 25HP to 75HP and a rated voltage from 230V to 575V AC. It is designed for simple and complex machines such as centrifugal and piston pumps, fans, screw compressors and material handling equipment. Slim form factor improves versatility; allows mounting in frames of any kind of machines. It features an Integrated bypass, this reduces noise and decreases heat dissipation. Compatibility with SoMove software allows configurations and settings to be easily transferred, meaning spares can be quickly installed. It provides smooth starting for your machinery, avoiding mechanical stresses and extending their service life.

- Engineered featuring true 3-phase silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) regulation, this 88A soft starter governs asynchronous motors via sophisticated torque control rather than simple voltage steps. - Built with a robust operational framework, this module operates reliably across an expansive main line supply spectrum from 208V to 600V AC at 50/60 Hz. This flexible electrical tolerance allows plant electricians to deploy a single, uniform controller type across a broad machine fleet, delivering an optimized capacity rating of 25 HP at 208V, 30 HP at 230V, 60 HP at 460V, or up to 75 HP at standard 575V Canadian industrial grids.
- Equipped with an onboard, internal bypass contactor, the system automatically shunts current away from the primary solid-state electronics once the motor reaches full running speed. This integrated feature drops steady-state power dissipation down to a highly efficient 66W, eliminating the cost and space required for an external running contactor while dramatically extending the lifetime of the internal thyristors inside tight enclosures.
- Providing comprehensive electronic defense, this soft starter features integrated Class 10 electronic thermal overload tracking alongside line phase-failure and internal starter thermal protection loops. This eliminates the requirement for standalone auxiliary monitoring relays, continuously tracking winding statuses to safeguard expensive induction motors against unexpected phase imbalance, locked-rotor friction, or severe insulation degradation.
- Designed for straightforward automation layout integration, this starter utilizes a common 110V AC control circuit voltage paired with three logic inputs, two configurable output relays, and an embedded Modbus RS485 communication link via an RJ45 port. The front-facing 4-character 7-segment display allows field technicians to rapidly navigate commissioning parameters or access detailed remote diagnostics using SoMove software without introducing costly protocol converters.
