- The Hubbell 1110BAR (also known as a "Handy Box") is a single-gang, surface-mounted steel utility box designed for convenience outlets, switches, or small junction boxes. It is the industry-standard choice for "exposed work" in commercial and residential settings where wiring is run along the surface of walls rather than inside them.
- This rectangular box measures 4 inches in height, 2-1/2 inches in width, and has a depth of 1-7/8 inches. With an internal capacity of 16.5 cubic inches, it provides the necessary volume for a single device and its associated conductors, making it compact enough for tight spaces while remaining code-compliant for standard branch circuits.
- The 1110BAR features ten 1/2-inch knockouts (three on each side, two on each end, and two in the bottom). These precision-stamped knockouts are designed to stay secure during shipping but pop out cleanly for a tight, professional fit with EMT or rigid conduit connectors.
- Fabricated from high-strength galvanized steel, this box is built to resist corrosion and physical impact.
