• The SQR44102WH is a 15-Amp, 125V duplex decorator receptacle from the Square D X Series. It is designed specifically for modern Canadian residential and commercial interiors, featuring a clean, flat profile and a Matte White finish that resists fingerprints and diffuses light better than traditional glossy outlets.
• This receptacle features discrete internal black shutters that block the insertion of foreign objects (like keys or paperclips). These shutters only open when a two-pronged plug is inserted simultaneously, fulfilling the safety requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) for all new and renovated residential spaces.
• The SQR44102WH features side pressure plates (screw-actuated clamps). Unlike cheaper "wrap-around" screw terminals, these allow you to simply slide the stripped wire into a channel and tighten the screw to clamp it securely. This provides a more reliable, gas-tight connection and significantly reduces the time spent on large-scale trim-outs.
• This model is self-grounding. It features a specialized brass contact clip that ensures a direct, low-resistance ground path to a metal electrical box simply by screwing the device into place.
