- The Schneider Electric (TeSys) LA9CA16UTB is a specialized "Insta-Kit" designed for the TeSys D range of enclosed motor starters. It allows Canadian electricians to quickly add local control and status indication to a starter in the field. Instead of sourcing separate components, this kit provides a pre-wired, ready-to-install interface that fits directly into the knockout of a standard Schneider enclosure.
- The unit features a 3-position selector switch with Hand-Off-Auto marking. This is the industry-standard logic for Canadian motor control: Hand: Manual override to start the motor immediately. Off: Disconnects control power to ensure the motor cannot run. Auto: Places the motor under the control of external logic, such as a PLC, float switch, or thermostat.
- Unlike basic selector switches, the LA9CA16UTB includes an integrated LED pilot light. It is labeled for "Power On" or general status indication. The green LED is highly reliable, offering thousands of hours of service life, which is essential for reducing maintenance visits in remote Canadian pumping stations or HVAC mechanical rooms.
