- The Schneider Electric (TeSys) LA9CA16UTB is a specialized "Insta-Kit" designed for the TeSys D range of enclosed motor starters. It allows Canadian electricians to quickly add local control and status indication to a starter in the field. Instead of sourcing separate components, this kit provides a pre-wired, ready-to-install interface that fits directly into the knockout of a standard Schneider enclosure.
- The unit features a 3-position selector switch with Hand-Off-Auto marking. This is the industry-standard logic for Canadian motor control: Hand: Manual override to start the motor immediately. Off: Disconnects control power to ensure the motor cannot run. Auto: Places the motor under the control of external logic, such as a PLC, float switch, or thermostat.
- Unlike basic selector switches, the LA9CA16UTB includes an integrated LED pilot light. It is labeled for "Power On" or general status indication.
