Description
Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.
Features
- The ATDR25 is a 25-Amp, 600V AC/DC Class CC fuse designed to provide the highest level of protection for branch circuits. As part of the Amp-Trap 2000® family, it is engineered with a time-delay characteristic specifically optimized for the high-inrush currents associated with small motors and control transformers.
- Featuring a specialized time-delay (slow-blow) design, the ATDR25 can withstand the momentary current spikes that occur when a motor or transformer first powers up. This prevents "nuisance trips," ensuring your equipment stays running while still providing "Type 2" (No Damage) protection for sensitive downstream components.
- Despite its compact size, the ATDR25 boasts a massive 200,000 Amp interrupting rating (AIC). This means it can safely clear a catastrophic short circuit without exploding or venting, protecting your personnel and preventing the total destruction of your control panel or motor starter.
- Unlike standard 13/32" midget fuses, the ATDR25 features a unique rejection tip on the end of the fuse. This physical safety feature ensures that it can only be installed in a Class CC fuse holder (like the Mersen USCC series), preventing someone from accidentally replacing it with a fuse of lower interrupting capacity or different voltage ratings.
- The ATDR25 is a highly current-limiting fuse. In the event of a fault, it clears the circuit in less than half a cycle, physically limiting the amount of peak "let-through" energy that reaches your equipment. This significantly reduces the thermal and magnetic stress on your wires, contactors, and relays, extending the life of your entire electrical system.
