Description
Tri-Onic TR-R current-limiting time-delay fuses are engineered for overcurrent protection of motors, transformers, service entrance equipment, feeders and branch-circuits. The time-delay characteristics of the TR-R safely handle harmless starting currents and inrush currents associated with today's motors and transformers.

- Engineered with advanced dual-element time-delay characteristics, the TR4R safely tolerates harmless, temporary current surges associated with inductive loads. This completely prevents unnecessary nuisance trips when starting small motors or energizing transformers, eliminating costly equipment downtime while maintaining strict overcurrent protection.
- As a Class RK5 current-limiting fuse, it rapidly interrupts massive fault currents before they can reach their full destructive peak. By drastically lowering the peak let-through energy during a short circuit, it safeguards delicate electrical controls, panelboards, and branching circuits from catastrophic physical and thermal damage.
- Boasting an exceptional 200,000-amp AC interrupting rating at 250VAC (and 20kA at 160VDC), this fuse is purpose-built to handle severe electrical faults. This massive breaking capacity ensures your service entrances, feeders, and main branch circuits remain fully code-compliant and safely isolated against volatile electrical failures.
- Featuring a standard 2-inch length and 9/16-inch diameter cylindrical body with a rejection-style ferrule design, this 4A fuse physically prevents the accidental insertion of lower-rated or non-current-limiting fuses when paired with an RK5 fuse block. This mechanical safeguard ensures field electricians always maintain the correct level of circuit protection during rapid maintenance swaps.
