Description
This Harmony XB4, black head with key (key no.455) for key selector switch has 3 positions, operates with spring-return-to-center mechanism with key withdrawal on center position. This head with key provides a versatile interface for controlling your machines. It is easily installed and replaced on compatible complete key selector switch units to provide a secure manner for authorized staff to switch between process or machine operating modes. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP66. It has a metal bezel, this makes it Ideal for applications requiring high impact and vibration resistance. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. Secure machine and system operation with a key, only available to authorized operators. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product. Key removal allowed in only one of the positions, allowing for advanced interlocking between various parts of a machine or process, while limiting human errors.

- Part of the heavy-duty Harmony XB4 range, the ZB4BG7 is a 22mm modular key selector switch operator head. This part number represents the frontend mechanical actuator assembly alone; to build a functional circuit-switching node, it must be paired with a metal mounting collar (ZB4BZ009) and your specific choice of backend contact blocks (such as ZBE101 for NO or ZBE102 for NC tracks).
- This operator features a 3-position configuration with a 45-degree throw angle separation between index states (-45° / 0° / +45°). It is engineered with an automatic spring-return-to-center mechanism from both the left and right indexed positions, meaning the switch will automatically snap back to the vertical neutral center position the moment the operator releases mechanical pressure.
- The mechanism is matched to a standardized Ronis No. 455 lock pattern and arrives complete with a matching set of keys. For strict system process safety, key withdrawal is exclusively permitted in the center neutral position; the key physically locks inside the keyway while turned to either temporary side position, preventing personnel from leaving an active manual override unsupervised.
- Boasting a premium chromium-plated metal bezel and a high-strength internal tumbler, this 22mm operator head provides exceptional mechanical resilience. It handles a massive mechanical durability threshold of 1,000,000 operations and carries an IK06 impact resistance rating, ensuring it won't split, stick, or shear off when deployed on high-vibration stamping lines or mobile industrial transport platforms.
- Providing a superior hermetic seal against liquid and dust path entries, this head achieves comprehensive IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K benchmarks alongside NEMA 4X and NEMA 13 parameters. The internal gaskets are fully rated to withstand close-range, high-pressure industrial washdown nozzles tracking at 7,000,000 Pa and 55°C, operating smoothly across a wide ambient thermal span from -40°C up to 70°C.
- Tailored to drop seamlessly into a standard 22.5 mm industrial panel cutout, this compact component features an overall frontal width and height of 29 mm, paired with a total underlying depth profile of 72 mm. Carrying official UL 508, and CSA C22.2 No 14. It ensures a straightforward pathway to grant final site sign-offs from provincial and municipal electrical inspectors.
