Description
Harmony 22 mm modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights are designed for industry. This range combines simplicity of setup, flexibility and a robust construction. An ingenious locking system consisting of a snap fit head and body that can be tightened with a single screw but still ensuring an easy and yet secure mounting. Harmony XB4/ZB4 are 22 mm chromium plated metal modular push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights connecting to fully metal mounting collar. The operators can be purchased as complete operators or various modules that can be assembled to meet the user’s specific requirement. Harmony XB5/ZB5 are 22 mm plastic modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights. The operator can have a round and square plastic bezel. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. The contacts can be used for low load electrical contact and high power applications. Shake proof connection screws make periodic retightening unnecessary. A complete set of accessories to provide a solution for applications where exposure to high pressure cleaning, dust and extreme temperatures is an everyday occurrence. These harmony 22mm push buttons are used by machine manufacturers (automotive, textiles, timber) and control system panel builders. Certified and approved for meeting requirements throughout all continents: EN/IEC, UL, NEMA, CSA, CCC, Gost, JIS and many more. They have UL and CE markings and have ratings up to IP66 and IP69K.
Features
- The Schneider Electric ZB4BA4 is a non-illuminated push button head from the Harmony XB4 metal series. Featuring a "flush" profile and a Red cap, it is the fundamental building block for manual control in Canadian industrial panels. While red is often associated with "Stop," this specific head is a general-purpose operator that can be configured for various functions depending on the contact blocks you attach to it.
- The hallmark of the XB4 line is its heavy-duty chromium-plated metal bezel. This construction is designed to take a beating in harsh Canadian environments from the vibration of a mining rock crusher to the chemical exposure of a pulp and paper mill. It is significantly more impact-resistant than the plastic XB5 alternative.
- This is a momentary actuator, meaning it only stays in the "pressed" position as long as you are holding it down. Once released, it springs back to its original state. This makes it ideal for sending "Stop" pulses to a motor starter or "Off" commands to a PLC logic sequence.
- The ZB4BA4 is built to keep the elements out. With NEMA 4X and IP69K ratings, it is completely dust-tight and can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature steam cleaning. This is essential for Canadian food processing plants where daily equipment washdowns are mandatory.
- It is important to remember that the ZB4BA4 is the head only. To create a complete working switch, you will need to pair it with: 1. Mounting Collar: (e.g., ZB4BZ009) 2. Contact Block: Most commonly a Normally Closed (NC) block (e.g., ZBE102) if used as a Stop button. This modularity allows Canadian electricians to stock one type of head and customize the electrical logic on the fly.
