Features
- Part of the advanced Harmony XPS Universal safety module platform, this device is engineered to monitor a broad array of safety-critical inputs. It can be dynamically configured to supervise Emergency Stop push-buttons (1-channel or 2-channel loops), antivalent contacts, protective guard monitoring switches, magnetic safety switches, proximity sensors, and Output Signal Switching Device (OSSD) light curtain arrays, consolidating diverse cell safety into a single module.
- This hardware module delivers premium risk-mitigation metrics, achieving PL e (Category 4) conforming to ISO 13849-1 and SIL3 conforming to IEC 61508. This top-tier architectural alignment guarantees that your manufacturing cells satisfy complex municipal, provincial, and corporate safety audits while providing maximum physical protection for plant-floor personnel.
- Engineered with a versatile, wide-range power supply, this module operates natively on either 24V AC +/-10% or 24V DC +/-20% control infrastructure. This eliminates the need for maintaining separate AC and DC safety module variants in warehouse stock, allowing panel builders to deploy a uniform part number across various localized factory line voltage profiles.
- Housed in a slim 22.5mm wide enclosure that snaps securely onto standard 35mm DIN rails, this device maximizes available real estate inside packed automation enclosures. It features removable, pluggable terminal blocks with a convenient push-in spring-clamp design, enabling maintenance crews to swap out a physical module in seconds without disconnecting, tracing, or re-terminating individual field safety wires.
