Description
This Altistart 22 soft starter can feed 3-phase asynchronous motors in supply line connection. It has a rating of 170A, a rated power from 50HP to 150HP and a rated voltage from 230V to 575V AC. It is designed for simple and complex machines such as centrifugal and piston pumps, fans, screw compressors and material handling equipment. Slim form factor improves versatility; allows mounting in frames of any kind of machines. It features an Integrated bypass, this reduces noise and decreases heat dissipation. Compatibility with SoMove software allows configurations and settings to be easily transferred, meaning spares can be quickly installed. It provides smooth starting for your machinery, avoiding mechanical stresses and extending their service life.

- Custom-engineered to eliminate the harsh mechanical and electrical stresses of across-the-line starting, this solid-state module provides smooth, controlled acceleration and deceleration for three-phase squirrel-cage asynchronous motors. By regulating voltage and utilizing advanced torque-control algorithms, it limits starting current spikes and minimizes mechanical water hammer or belt slippage, making it perfect for driving heavy-duty centrifugal pumps, fans, screw compressors, and material handling systems.
- Belonging to the dependable Altistart 22 product line, this high-capacity soft starter features a robust continuous rating of 170 Amps for standard applications. It operates seamlessly across a wide line voltage spectrum ranging from 208V to 600V AC (50/60 Hz). Depending on your line voltage, it supports a broad range of heavy-duty motor loads:50 hp at 208V AC; 60 hp at 230V AC; 125 hp at 460V AC; 150 hp at 575V AC
- Designed with an integrated internal bypass contactor, the starter drastically reduces thermal output and energy consumption once the motor reaches full operating speed. After concluding the programmed voltage ramp, the unit automatically switches the load from its solid-state SCR paths over to the internal bypass contactor. This decreases power dissipation to just 91 Watts during steady-state runs, maximizing cabinet space by eliminating the need for bulky, external bypass hardware and auxiliary heatsink sizing.
- The controller requires a standard 110V AC (50/60 Hz) control circuit voltage to power its logic board.
- he interface includes 3 discrete logic inputs (LI1, LI2, LI3), a dedicated PTC probe input for direct motor winding temperature monitoring, an embedded RJ45 Modbus serial communication port, and 2 configurable changeover relay outputs (R1, R2) for reporting status indicators like "running," "ready," or "tripped."
- Engineered with a space-saving, slim form factor to optimize panel density, the module measures approximately 14.02 inches high, 5.91 inches wide, and 9.06 inches deep (356 x 150 x 229.5 mm) with a net weight of nearly 40 lbs (18 kg). It features an IP00 open-chassis protection rating, requiring vertical panel mounting inside a suitable enclosure. Backed by built-in advanced diagnostic monitors including phase-failure protection, line imbalance tracking, and Class 10/20/30 electronic thermal overload protection this soft starter is fully UL, CSA, and CCC certified.
