Its unique thermal design allows for zero-clearance side-by-side vertical stacking inside your control cabinet without requiring any output current derating, effectively reducing the overall footprint of multi-axis machine layouts
    • Built-in Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1) functional safety systems come standard, providing instant, reliable protection that complies directly with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. By executing functional safety locally at the drive level, you completely eliminate the need for expensive external safety isolation relays, simplifying your control loops and lowering total bill-of-materials costs.
    • Altivar Machine ATV320 series comes ready to integrate out of the box with embedded Modbus Serial and CANopen protocols via its native communication ports. If your architecture relies on distinct fieldbuses, the modular design accepts plug-and-play option cards for industrial Ethernet ecosystems including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, EtherCAT, and DeviceNet, ensuring flawless synchronization with any master PLC platform.
    • Designed to survive volatile production floors, the electronic circuit boards are defensively coated in compliance with IEC 60721-3-3 Class 3C3 and 3S2 environmental standards. This provides high-level immunity to ambient chemical corrosion, airborne dust, and conductive moisture, allowing the IP20 chassis to operate reliably in ambient temperatures up to 50 C without breaking a sweat, and up to 60 C with derating factors.

The usage profile taken into account is 20% uptime in full phase, 30% uptime in medium high phase, 40% uptime in medium low phase and 10% uptime in low phase of the 5000h operating time and 1000h of standby according to the CEMEP guide: general machine.
