Description
This product is part of the Harmony XB4 - ATEX D range, an offer of Ø 22mm metal pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights for explosive atmosphere. This key selector switch comes with key number 455 and key withdrawal in left-hand position. This offer is specially designed for explosive atmosphere. It is designed for used in dust zone 21-22 and gas zone 1-2. It has 2 operating positions and operates with a spring return mechanism. It has 1 NO contact with slow-break operation. This metal key selector switch comes with chromium plated metal bezel. This offer is specially designed for applications in Oil and Gas industry as well as Food and beverage, car gas stations etc. It is an IP65 rated product and comes with INERIS 04ATEX9004U certification. It is easily installed into a standard 22mm diameter panel cut-outs and connected to control circuits with screw-clamp connections. The Harmony XB4 range offers innovative features for simple and efficient use. The Harmony XB4 - ATEX is the most comprehensive explosive Atmospheres range covering most applications.
Features
- This specialized 2-position selector switch features a key-operated actuation mechanism (Key No. 455) that requires a physical key to toggle between states. This high-security architecture ensures that only authorized personnel and maintenance technicians can change operating modes or start restricted factory systems, completely preventing unauthorized equipment tampering.
- Designed with a 90-degree throw, the stay-put mechanism allows the key to be physically withdrawn only in the left ("OFF") position. This design enforces strict, unalterable safety workflows, ensuring an operator cannot walk away with the system left in an active, unmonitored state.
- Supplied as a complete, pre-assembled unit, this switch comes equipped with a 1 NO (Normally Open) contact block utilizing high-reliability silver-alloy contacts. Rated for up to 600V AC/DC at 10 Amps, it provides a clean, slow-break signaling link to command industrial motor starters, safety relays, or PLC discrete input points.
- Built on the premium Harmony XB4 22mm metal platform, this device features a chromium-plated metal bezel. This rugged metallic structure provides exceptional resistance against structural impacts and continuous machinery vibration up to 5 gn, eliminating the cracking and stripped threads common with plastic alternatives.
- Engineered to meet rigorous IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K ingress ratings, alongside NEMA 4X, and 13 standards, this oil-tight and water-tight operator handles extreme environment challenges. It completely bars the entry of splashing water, caustic cleaning detergents, coolant sprays, and fine metallic dust, ensuring reliable performance in harsh food processing, milling, or automotive plants.
- Designed for rapid integration into industry-standard 22mm panel cutouts, this module features a single-screw mounting collar that clamps down with up to 1.24 N.m of torque.
