Engineered with a dual-element time-delay mechanism that guarantees a minimum of 12 seconds of hold time at 200% of its rated current, the FNQ-R-20 effortlessly handles high-inrush currents and inductive surges. This high-performance thermal delay eliminates expensive nuisance tripping during the startup cycles of small control transformers and industrial motors, keeping your manufacturing lines running without interruption.
Featuring a dedicated Class CC rejection tip, this 13/32-inch by 1-1/2-inch cartridge fuse fits securely into rejection-style fuse blocks and holders while strictly preventing the dangerous insertion of lower-rated supplementary fuses. This fail-safe mechanical footprint ensures your electrical panel remains code-compliant and safely configured, preventing maintenance personnel from accidentally compromising the downstream circuit's safety.
Boasting an exceptional 200,000-amp RMS symmetrical interrupting capacity at 600Vac, this Limitron™ fuse complies fully with NEC® Section 110.9 for large-capacity electrical systems. This massive breaking capacity ensures that even under severe short-circuit conditions, the fuse will safely isolate the fault, preventing catastrophic arc flash damage, panel explosions, and extensive equipment destruction.
By providing up to 10 times better current limitation than standard supplementary fuses, the FNQ-R-20 rapidly chokes off destructive fault currents before they reach peak levels. This rapid clearing speed shields vulnerable control components, PLCs, and branch circuits from intense electro-magnetic and thermal stresses, drastically reducing component failure rates and long-term repair costs.
