Features

  • The Bussmann LP-CC-1/2 (0.5 Amp) is a Class CC Low-Peak™ fuse, the ultimate choice for protecting delicate control circuits. As a "Current-Limiting" fuse, it reacts in less than 0.008 seconds to "clamp" short-circuit energy. This prevents massive fault currents from ever reaching sensitive devices like PLCs, small relays, and electronic controllers, which is a standard requirement for high-tier Canadian industrial panels.
  • Despite its tiny 0.5A rating, this fuse features dual-element, time-delay technology. It is specifically designed to ignore the heavy momentary current surges (inrush) that occur when a control transformer is first energized. It provides a 12-second delay at 200% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance trips" while still providing high-speed protection against genuine short circuits.
  • As a Class CC fuse, the LP-CC-1/2 features a unique physical rejection tip. This safety feature ensures it can only be installed in a dedicated Class CC fuse holder (like the CHCC series), preventing someone from accidentally replacing it with a standard "midget" fuse that doesn't have the same current-limiting or branch-circuit safety ratings.
  • The LP-CC-1/2 is fully rated for 600V AC and features a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any industrial or commercial power system in Canada, even when installed near the service entrance where available fault currents are extremely high.
