Features

  • The Bussmann LP-CC-15 is a Class CC Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered for ultimate "Branch Circuit" protection. As a current-limiting fuse, it reacts in less than 0.008 seconds to "clamp" a short circuit before the energy can reach its destructive peak. This is a critical requirement for protecting sensitive contactors and relays in Canadian industrial panels, ensuring they aren't welded shut during a major fault.
  • Equipped with dual-element, time-delay technology, this 15-Amp fuse is specifically designed to ignore the heavy momentary surges common with small motor starts and control transformer inrush. It provides a 12-second delay at 200% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance blowing" during equipment startup while still offering high-speed protection against dangerous faults.
  • As a Class CC fuse, the LP-CC-15 features a unique physical rejection tip. This ensures it can only be installed in a dedicated Class CC fuse holder (like the Bussmann CHCC series), preventing the accidental installation of standard "midget" fuses that lack the high interrupting rating and branch-circuit certification required by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
  • The LP-CC-15 is fully rated for 600V AC and boasts a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any Canadian industrial or commercial power system, regardless of how close it is to the service entrance, ensuring your installation remains secure and fully code-compliant.
  • The Class CC size (13/32" x 1-1/2") is the smallest branch-circuit rated fuse available. By providing "big fuse" performance in a compact footprint, it allows Canadian panel builders to significantly reduce the size of their control enclosures, saving both space and cost in high-density automation and HVAC projects.
