Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- As a high-performance Amp-Trap 2000® Class J fuse, this component provides superior current limitation by clearing faults in less than half a cycle. By drastically reducing the "let-through" energy during a short circuit, it prevents catastrophic thermal and magnetic damage to sensitive motor starters, contactors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs), extending the lifespan of your critical industrial machinery.
- Designed with a deliberate 10-second time delay at 500% of its 400-amp rating, this fuse easily handles the massive inrush currents typical of large industrial motors and transformers. This allows your facility to maintain continuous operation without the productivity loss and labor costs associated with unnecessary fuse replacements caused by standard startup surges.
- The AJT400 utilizes the standardized, compact Class J footprint, which is significantly smaller than equivalent Class R fuses.
