Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- This Amp-Trap 2000 fuse features Mersen's patented SmartSpot visual indicator, which turns a distinct color the moment the fuse clears a fault. This allows maintenance technicians to identify open circuits at a glance in a crowded motor control center (MCC), drastically reducing troubleshooting time and getting your critical production lines back up and running faster.
- Measuring significantly smaller than standard Class R or Class K fuses, this 12-Amp AJT fuse allows for the use of more compact fuse holders and disconnect switches. By utilizing these high-density components, industrial engineers can minimize the overall footprint of electrical enclosures, saving valuable floor space and reducing material costs in complex machine builds.
- Engineered with superior current-limiting capabilities, this fuse rapidly interrupts short-circuit currents before they reach their peak magnitude. This high-speed response prevents destructive thermal and magnetic energy from reaching downstream components like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and PLC outputs, ensuring your most expensive automation hardware remains shielded from catastrophic failure.
- Designed with a 600V AC time-delay characteristic, the AJT12 provides a minimum 10-second opening time at 500% of its rated current. This allows the fuse to ride through the initial, harmless current spikes typical of motor startups and transformer inrush without nuisance tripping, while still providing "no-damage" Type 2 protection for motor starters and contactors.
