Description
QO Load Centers offer premium features by allowing QO breakers, ground fault interrupters, arc fault interrupters, and surge arresters to be installed inside. QO Load Centers are designed for residential and industrial use to protect electrical systems, equipment, and people. They are available in both traditional and plug on neutral configurations. There is 3 types of mains available. There is main circuit breaker, main lugs, and generator panel. Single and three phase options are available. The bus bars are tin plated copper and are shielded. Indoor and outdoors enclosures are an option. QO Load Centers enable the use of a full complement of accessories. This 1 phase load center has 4 spaces and 4 circuits. This system provides 100A convertible main lugs in a NEMA 1 enclosure. It also includes a surface cover, and is CSA rated. The load center is CSA certified.
Features
- The Square D QO4L100S is a 100-Amp, single-phase, 120/240V AC "Fixed Main Lugs" loadcentre. This ultra-compact panel is designed to accept up to 4 full-size QO breakers. Because it does not have a main breaker of its own, it is typically used as a sub-panel for localized power distribution in Canadian homes and workshops.
- Despite its small physical size, the bus bar is rated for a full 100 Amps. This makes it perfect for applications like a detached garage, a basement workshop, or a pool equipment shed, where you need to distribute power to a few high-draw circuits (like a table saw or a heater) from a larger main panel.
- The "S" in the part number indicates that this is a Surface Mount enclosure. It is designed to be mounted directly onto the surface of a wall (like a concrete basement wall or a plywood backer board) rather than being recessed between studs. This makes it ideal for retrofit projects where cutting into the drywall isn't an option.
- This panel is compatible only with Square D QO series breakers, widely considered the "gold standard" by Canadian electricians. QO breakers feature the Visi-Trip™ indicator, which provides a clear red visual signal when a breaker has tripped, making troubleshooting effortless for homeowners.
- The unit features a NEMA Type 1 indoor enclosure made of heavy-duty galvanized steel. The shielded copper bus bars provide superior conductivity and are plated to resist the oxidation and corrosion often found in Canadian basements or unheated outbuildings.
