Features
- The Bussmann LPJ-20SP is a Class J Low-Peak™ fuse, the industry gold standard for current limitation. It reacts in less than 0.008 seconds during a short circuit to "clamp" the fault energy before it can reach its destructive peak. This provides superior protection for sensitive components like VFDs, PLCs, and small motor starters, often helping your entire control panel achieve a higher Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR).
- Featuring advanced dual-element, time-delay technology, this 20-Amp fuse is engineered to withstand the momentary current surges associated with motor starting and transformer inrush. It provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current, ensuring your equipment powers up reliably without "nuisance blowing," while still offering rapid response to dangerous overloads.
- The LPJ-20SP is fully rated for 600V AC and has a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). It is capable of safely quenching the most severe electrical faults, ensuring your power distribution system remains secure and fully code-compliant in heavy industrial facilities, mines, and commercial buildings across Canada.
- The Class J footprint is significantly smaller than equivalent Class R or Class H fuses. This compact design allows Canadian panel builders to use smaller disconnect switches and fuse blocks, saving valuable interior "real estate" in electrical enclosures without sacrificing interrupting performance or safety.
