• The Bussmann LPJ-35SP is a high-performance Class J Low-PeakTM fuse designed for superior branch circuit protection. As a current-limiting device, it is engineered to react in less than 0.008 seconds during a fault, "clamping" short-circuit energy before it can damage downstream equipment. This is a critical component for achieving a high Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) in Canadian industrial control panels.
• Featuring advanced dual-element, time-delay technology, this 35-Amp fuse provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current. This allows it to ignore the massive momentary surges associated with 3-phase motor starts and control transformer inrush, preventing "nuisance blowing" and unnecessary downtime in manufacturing and HVAC applications.
• Based on the standard Bussmann part numbering, the LPJ-35SP is the non-indicating version. If you require a visual indication window to see if the fuse has blown at a glance, you would need the LPJ-35SPI model. This non-indicating version is preferred for high-vibration environments or when used with indicating fuse holders.
• This fuse is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) and boasts a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This ultra-high fault capacity ensures the fuse can safely quench the most severe electrical arcs, making it compliant for use in heavy industrial environments, mines, and commercial facilities across Canada.
