Features
- The Bussmann LPJ-10SP is a Class J Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered for superior current limitation. In the event of a short circuit, it reacts in less than 0.008 seconds to "clamp" the fault energy before it can reach its destructive peak. This provides high-level protection for sensitive devices like PLCs, small VFDs, and motor starters, helping your control panel achieve a higher Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR).
- Equipped with dual-element, time-delay technology, this 10-Amp fuse is specifically designed to ignore the heavy momentary surges common with motor starts and control transformer inrush. It provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance blowing" during equipment startup while still offering rapid response to dangerous faults.
- The LPJ-10SP is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) with a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any Canadian industrial, mining, or commercial facility, ensuring your power distribution remains secure and fully compliant with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- The Class J footprint is significantly more compact than equivalent Class R or Class H fuses. This smaller size allows Canadian panel builders to use more compact fuse blocks and disconnect switches (like the CH30J series), saving valuable interior "real estate" in electrical enclosures without sacrificing the high-tier interrupting performance required for industrial applications.
