Features
- The Bussmann LPJ-25SP is a high-performance Class J Low-Peak™ fuse designed for ultimate branch circuit protection. Its current-limiting engineering reacts in less than 0.008 seconds during a fault, "clamping" short-circuit energy before it can damage downstream components, which is essential for increasing the Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) of industrial control panels.
- Featuring advanced dual-element, time-delay technology, this 25-Amp fuse provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current. This allows the fuse to ignore the massive momentary surges associated with 3-phase motor starts and control transformer inrush, preventing "nuisance blowing" and unnecessary downtime in Canadian manufacturing facilities.
- Following strict Bussmann nomenclature, the LPJ-25SP is the non-indicating version (the "SPI" suffix is required for a visual indication window). This makes it a rugged and cost-effective solution for installations that utilize indicating fuse blocks or for high-vibration applications where a solid-body fuse is preferred.
- This fuse is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) and boasts a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This ultra-high fault capacity ensures the fuse can safely quench the most severe electrical arcs, making it compliant for use in heavy industrial environments, mines, and commercial buildings across Canada.
- The Class J footprint is significantly more compact than equivalent Class R or Class H fuses. This space-saving design allows Canadian panel builders to use smaller disconnects and finger-safe fuse holders, such as the CH30J series, maximizing the available "real estate" within crowded electrical enclosures.
